Thanks for visiting the official website of Stefanie Korol. Stefanie Korol graduated from DePaul University in 2017 with a double-major in Communications & Media and Digital Cinema. She is a director and producer who has worked on a number of projects throughout her years.
When she was a Sophomore in high school, she turned to film during a tough time in her life and has never looked back. She used her work in film as way to disconnect from reality. It became a creative outlet for her in which she was able to fully express herself.

This is a Director's Reel of all of Stefanie's work throughout the years. It includes multiple narrative short films and a documentary.
THE AFTERMATH
Twin brothers, Ken and Keith lost their oldest brother, Kevin, to suicide. We follow them through their hometown as they share their tragic story. They show us that anyone can turn grief and sorrow into something positive.
This is the first short documentary Stefanie has ever directed. When asked why she chose this topic Korol says, "It's one of those ugly topics that no one likes talking about because it makes them uncomfortable. But it is something that should be talked about because of how common it is."
The Aftermath has won "Best Audience Choice" in The Direct Short Online Film Festival and has been nominated in the "Documentary" category in DePaul University's Premiere Film Festival.
